Bart Sangster

Dr. Bart Sangster is a medical doctor by training. He specialised in internal medicine and toxicology. He has a PhD in clinical toxicology. He retired in 2007 from Unilever as Senior Vice President Safety and Environmental Assurance.He was Professor in Clinical Toxicology at the Faculty of Medicine in Utrecht, head of the Poison Control Centre of the National Institute for Public health and the Environment and head of the Intensive Care department of the University Hospital Utrecht. Subsequently he was Director Public Health at the Institute for Public Health and the Environment in Bilthoven.Before joining Unilever he was Director General for Health at the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Sports in the Netherlands.He has published over 125 papers in scientific/medical journals and books.He is a Knight in the Order of the Lion of the Netherlands.
